About this prayer
The Trisagion ("Thrice Holy") is the ancient hymn of the Eastern Church, sung in every Divine Liturgy since the fifth century. It opens the Trisagion Prayers that begin most Orthodox prayer rules.

Ἅγιος ὁ Θεός, Ἅγιος ἰσχυρός, Ἅγιος ἀθάνατος, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς.
