Life
Margaret (c. 1045-1093) was an English princess who became Queen of Scotland as the wife of King Malcolm III. Known for her charitable works, promotion of Church reform, and fostering of learning and culture, she used her royal position to serve the poor, feeding orphans and beggars with her own hands. Canonized in 1250, she is a patron saint of Scotland.
