The Epiphany, among the most ancient feasts of the Church, celebrates the manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles, represented by the Magi who followed the star to Bethlehem to adore the newborn King with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. In the East the feast also embraces Christ's baptism and the wedding at Cana, each a revelation of his glory.
