Life
Andre Bessette (1845-1937) was a Holy Cross brother who served for decades as a humble doorkeeper at Notre-Dame College in Montreal. Credited with thousands of healings through his devotion to Saint Joseph, he inspired the building of Saint Joseph's Oratory on Mount Royal, one of the world's largest shrines to the saint. He was canonized in 2010.
