Life
Anthony Mary Claret (1807-1870) was a Catalan weaver's son who became a priest and tireless missionary, founding the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, known as the Claretians, in 1849. He served as Archbishop of Santiago de Cuba and later as confessor to Queen Isabella II of Spain, writing prolifically throughout his life. He is the patron saint of weavers.
