Life
John Eudes (1601-1680) was a French priest and missionary who preached parish missions across Normandy. He founded the Congregation of Jesus and Mary (the Eudists) to form clergy in seminaries, and the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity to care for women in need. A pioneer of devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, he was canonized in 1925.
