Life
Marcellinus, a priest, and Peter, an exorcist, were Roman clergy martyred during the persecution of Diocletian in the early fourth century. According to tradition they converted their jailer and his household before being beheaded. Their veneration in Rome is ancient: a basilica rose over their tomb, and their names are still invoked in the Roman Canon of the Mass.
