Life
Isidore of Seville (c. 560-636) was Archbishop of Seville for over three decades and a Doctor of the Church, often called the last of the Latin Fathers. His encyclopedic Etymologies gathered the learning of the ancient world and preserved classical knowledge through the Middle Ages. Because of this vast compendium, he is popularly invoked as a patron of the internet and computer users.
