Life
Martha, Mary, and Lazarus of Bethany were siblings and close friends of Jesus who welcomed him into their home: Martha served with devotion, Mary listened at his feet, and Lazarus was raised from the dead. Pope Francis updated this memorial in 2021 to honor all three together. They are patrons of hospitality and contemplatives, kept on July 29.
